The year 2008 was a very stressful time for me and my family with Daniel being sick and me starting a new full time job. I was finding myself having less time to shop and less time to put in the work it takes to keep this site going! I often wondered is it worth it? Most of you know I am a Christian and if you don’t you do now LOL! They say that when you are doing something right and in the Lord’s will ,thats when Satin loves to attack. I still feel strong down deep in my heart that I need to continue to keep going no matter what and it’s wonderful when God can send you a little message to tell you you are doing the right thing.
I recieved this email this morning from a new member of our website and I asked her if I could share this with all of you. Not only is it a blessing to me but I think it’s an inspiration to all moms. I miss being a SAHM mom and I love how she puts into words when she realizes that being a SAHM is her job. I literally cried when I read it. For someone whom I have never met to actually think of my family and add us to their prayer list just touches me. Ok I can’t put into words what I want to say so I will just post it!
It’s Jessica Priddy here, just two days old in your blog… But I wanted to say thank you for all of the great information.
I have been very inspired and believe that I did not run across your blog by any accident of any kind. I believe that everything happens for a
reason and that the Lord has a purpose for everything.
Just a few days ago I found myself trying to sink into a dark place that I used to call “depression”, until I began to truly seek the wisdom of my Lord and Savior.
I had a job interview that went south… and for some reason I totally went into a daze somewhat for a day or two. It’s not that I was not qualified or anything like that,, it was simply that it just did not work out.
With that being said, I prayed and asked the Lord to show me some way of helping my family with our finances even if it meant not to work outside of my home.
Well, a couple of years ago , I did the coupon thing.. and really did well. But not like the ladies or you on this blog.
I am so thankful that I found you, and I am looking forward to seeing the results and fruit of my labor.
I am grateful that you are willing to put this information out there for everyone and have the faith to know that people will appreciate it enough to donate to you and your service.
Tonight I sat there and watched some of the youtube.com videos of you and your shopping and I thought to myself… this chick has her stuff together.
First of all , let me say that I have added your husband to my prayer list that I pray over during my quiet time each morning. I pray for health and strength for him in the coming days. I pray for you as well. You are like the super mama!
Not only are you the consumer queen ,,, you are super mama as well as super wife..
Well, ok. let me get to the point.
I was watching and it’s like the Lord just literally took me and shook me and said,,, you silly little person… YOU HAVE A JOB!
It’s your husband, your kids, your house, your life… Now get on with it and Do the Very Best You Can!
So with that said, I have prayed for motivation, determination , and strength to DO MY JOB at home.
My husband has never said a word to me on my “lazy” days.. But I can feel it…
He does his part , don’t get me wrong, But he is the bread winner and the leader of the family, I realized I had not been living up to my end of the deal totally.
Not only that , But the Lord also impressed upon me that if I do this, and work to my full potential to save money for my family, he will bring my husband to a deeper relationship with Him. Now , I ask myself.. is it worth it … to see my husband grow in the Lord and to be happy when he comes home?
YES!!! ABSOLUTELY!!!! NO DOUBT 100%!!!
I just wanted to let you know that as I watched your videos and saw how you work a full time job and still do the things you were doing before going back to work,,, I have to admit, I felt very ashamed.
You have inspired me.
I can only hope that one day I can reach out to others and give as freely as you have…
Yes, it is 2:30 am, and I could not go to sleep until I typed you this email.
I hope you have a wonderful and glorious day and may everything you do be for the glory of the Lord.
I pray that his love surround you and I ask for thousands of heavenly hosts to be among you and your family.
I pray for Peace like a River for you and your family.
I pray for YOU. For strength and guidance, wisdom and knowledge. Encouragement and Love.
Thank you Melissa
