I'm so excited that Fall is coming! These pumpkin bars are oh so good! It's one of those deserts that I could literally eat the whole pan! Pumpkin and cream cheese…the perfect combination for a yummy treat! I think these taste even better the next day after they've been chilling in the fridge for a few hours.
Ingredients

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

15-ounce can pumpkin

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon baking soda
-
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 baking pan.
- In the medium bowl combine the eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, salt and baking soda.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just combined. Try not to overmix. Spread the batter into the prepared 13 by 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the top with the pecans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely before frosting.

2 cups powdered sugar

1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- In a mixer with the paddle attachment combine the butter and cream cheese until blended.
- Slowly add in the powdered sugar and then follow with the maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice.
- Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- Enjoy!
