How to Make Oreo Turkeys (Cookie Treats)
Looking for a fun and festive treat for Thanksgiving? These Oreo turkeys are adorable, no-bake treats that kids and adults will love. Made with classic Oreo cookies, candy corn, and chocolate, they're the perfect addition to your holiday dessert table. Plus, they're easy enough for little helpers to join in.

Makes: 8
Prep Time: 25 Minutes
Cook Time: 3 Minutes

Ingredients:
- 8 Oreo cookies
- 16 candy eyes
- 2 orange candy slices
- 32 candy corn pieces
- 3 oz Ghirardelli's chocolate melting wafers

How to Assemble Oreo Turkeys
Step 1: Add the Feathers
Carefully stick four candy corn pieces into the top of each Oreo cookie to create turkey feathers. If your cookies are hard to separate without breaking, gently twist them apart and place the candy corn between the cookie layers, then press them back together.
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate
Place the Ghirardelli's chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on defrost mode for 1½ minutes, stir, then heat for another minute on defrost and stir again until smooth.
Step 3: Attach the Eyes
Dip the backs of the candy eyes into the melted chocolate and press two onto the front of each Oreo to create your turkey’s face. Let them dry for a few minutes so they stay in place.
Step 4: Add the Beak
Slice the orange candy slices in half lengthwise, then cut each half into small triangle-shaped wedges. Stick the sticky side of the orange candy just below the eyes on each Oreo to form the beak.

Ready to Serve
Once everything is set and dry, your Oreo turkeys are ready to serve. These fun cookies make a great Thanksgiving party favor or kids’ table treat.
Helpful Tips for Making Oreo Turkeys
- Use double-stuffed Oreos to make inserting the candy corn easier.
- If your chocolate begins to harden before you're done, reheat briefly on defrost mode and stir.
- You can also use a piping bag or a toothpick to apply melted chocolate with more precision.
