Purpose of Freezer Meals
There’s no need to emphasize why Freezer Meals are important. We actually like to have one or two ready to go any time, but even if you’re not a fan of using them, they are ideal for when you’re unable to cook.
If you’re having surgery soon, freezer meals are a huge help to enable you to avoid fast food and enjoy your own home cooked meals easily. For a new baby, these are a lifesaver for mom and dad– who are probably running on little sleep and a lot of take-out!
They are also a great way to show kindness to an elderly church member or neighbor, who needs a home cooked meal but can’t easily cook any more. These meals can easily be thrown into the slow cooker to cook!
Four Freezer Meals You Can Prepare at Once!
These 4 Freezer Meals are super easy to throw together and do not require that the meat be cooked ahead of time! Three of these meals are also crock pot meals so all you have to do is throw them in the crock pot when you’re ready to cook!
You will need gallon freezer ziploc bags and some wax paper but that’s it! Before filling your freezer bags be sure to write the name of the recipe and the cooking instructions on the outside of the bags. These meals are so quick to throw together and are easy on the wallet so I decided to double up on them; therefore, having double the meals in my freezer!
Whether you’re preparing for a baby, gifting a new mommy-to-be or just want to make life a bit easier for yourself I hope you’ll give these freezer meals a try! I’ve also used the Foodsaver for my freezer meals and I HIGHLY recommend these hands free storage bag holders.
