Cilantro Lime Dressing: Elevate Your Salad
Cilantro Lime Dressing is the perfect dressing to take your salad from boring to amazing! Forget spending $10+ on a restaurant salad!

Cilantro Lime Dressing
Cilantro Lime Dressing takes about 10 minutes to whisk together and you'll be able to enjoy it for days afterwards. The tangy flavors will remind you of summertime with every bite! I actually prefer making my own salad dressings to the store-bought versions. Homemade dressings don't have all the commercial preservatives, so if you are sensitive to those or just don't prefer the taste, homemade dressings are a great option.
What's cilantro? Cilantro, also known as coriander, is a plant used in Latin American and Asian cuisine. It has a strong licorice-like taste with citrus undertones that some people find unpleasant so you might want to start by adding just one leaf at first! I always try to keep some cilantro in the fridge since we enjoy it on tacos, fajitas, and even in homemade salsa.
While we do try to grow most of veggies ourselves, cilantro has been one of the hardest for us to grow here in Oklahoma. However it's so cheap that we don't mind buying it at the store. I can usually find it for about 50¢ a bunch.
We do grow our own fresh jalapeños for this recipe. It's pretty sweet to be ale to just run out to the garden and pick your own veggies.

The cilantro gives the dressing a nice bright green color which looks beautiful on salads! I use this on tacos, salads and dipping. If you love our Creamy cilantro lime dressing you should check out this delicious creamy avocado lime dressing. It taste just like Chick-fil-A!
A good salad dressing can really elevate your salad from just lettuce to something delicious that you'll want to eat every day.
