Cheesecake Brownies
When I was in college there were 2 things that my room mates were NOT allowed to touch…my Dr. Pepper and my cheesecake brownies!! Those are 2 of my favorite things! And this is one of my favorite recipes. I know that they will make your mouth happy just like they do mine! Don't forget to follow us on Facebook as well for more recipes!
Cheesecake Brownies
Ingredients
- Brownie recipe:
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Oil
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- Cheesecake Filling:
- 1 Package 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Mix together the dry flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and salt. Then mix in the eggs, oil and vanilla until all blended together.
- In a separate bowl cream together the cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla until the lumps are gone and the batter is smooth.
- Pour the brownie batter in a greased 9x9 pan. Spoon the cheesecake batter on top of the brownie batter. With the tip of a butter knife gently swirl the two batters together, be careful not to over mix.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Hi,
In this recipe, you have not mentioned when to add the cocoa. Also, my batter for the “brownie” part is really thick. Is it gonna work?
You add the cocoa with the rest of the dry ingredients. The batter is thicker, it makes “fudgey” brownies.
just to clarify, in the ingredients you mention baking POWDER but in the instructions you mention baking SODA, which one should go into the mix…and these look delicious by the way…baking them tonight!!
