Grilled Pizza

Grilled Pizza:

Have you ever had a busy summer day packed full of activities and them came home to realize you forgot to plan for supper?  Well, if you keep a few basic items on hand you can surprise everyone with a Grilled Pizza!

We do a lot of grilling in the summer time and during the nice weather year around. This is a super easy and fun way to make pizzas.  It tastes absolutely amazing, too! There is nothing like the flavor of a grilled pizza.

I promise, you'll never want to cook pizza in the oven again!

I love to make personal pizzas on the grill.  This way everyone gets exactly what they want on their pizza and no one argues about what to put on it!

And I also love that making pizza now doesn't mean that the kitchen gets heated up in the summer.

Save yourself some money and get creative by making your own pizzas at home!  Here is a pizza I made with help of Walmart.

You can find these ingredients at your store:

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • Mama Mary's Thin and Crispy Pizza Crust
  • Great Value Mozzarella cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • Ragu Pizza Sauce
  • Your choice of toppings for pizza (ham, pepperoni, pineapple, mushrooms, olives, etc)

Instructions

Preheat grill (I had my grill set to medium heat, at about 350 degrees F.)

Put the pizza crust on the grill prior to adding toppings, to toast up the side that the ingredients will be on.

Take crust off the grill and add the pizza sauce, shredded cheese and any other toppings you want on your pizza to the already toasted side of the pizza crust.

Brush edges with melted garlic butter if desired.

Put pizza back on the grill carefully and close lid.

Cook until cheese starts to bubble, about 10 minutes.

    Enjoy!

Notes

This idea is fun for large groups, since you can create your own pizzas.

Use personal pizza size, or just have prep bowls ready with any ready-to-eat meats you prefer. Canadian bacon, and italian sausage bites are some ideas.

You can add fresh veggies like mushrooms or peppers too!
