I love recipes that take something that I already love and make it even better. Introducing Cowboy Ranch Cheese-its! You all know Cheese-its. The square shape, the rigid edges and that hole in the middle – everything about this baked snack cracker is the real deal, especially the cheese. And this recipe takes that tastes and make it even better…hard to believe huh?!

I am always looking for a new snack to bring along with me to parties and pot lucks. These Cowboy Ranch Cheese-its are the perfect options. They don’t take too long to make and the list of ingredients isn’t very long, in fact it’s things that are usually in my pantry. So that means no last minute run to the grocery store!

Some like it hot! You can adjust this recipe if you want to kick up the heat a little. Just add some red pepper flakes. The more you add the hotter it gets! Or if you are like me and can barely handle mild salsa, you can keep it cool and don’t add any. Find what you like.

We are planning a road trip so and I’m going to be adding this to the list of snacks to bring along. I’m always craving something salty. These Cowboy Ranch Cheese-its are the perfect snack food. I bet you can’t eat just one…or two…or three!

Cowboy Ranch Cheese-its Final

Great summer snack, but hard to resist!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes


  • 1 Box of cheese crackers
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 packet of ranch dressing
  • 1 tsp of dill weed, optional
  • Can also add red pepper flakes if you like spicy.


  1. Mix spices and oil.
  2. Pour cheese cracker onto cookie sheet.
  3. Pour oil mix over.
  4. Toss till coated.
  5. Bake at 250 for 20 min or until oil looks absorbed.
