Try my Chex Mix In The Crock Pot for an easy snack you can make ahead!
Coming up with something to bring to a summer BBQ get together, a Christmas party or a Church potluck can sometimes be difficult. I usually do not have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen so the easier the recipe, the better!
I am always trying to come up with a way to make just about anything in the Crock-Pot because it is just so convenient and does not take up too much of my time (all you busy moms out there know what I’m talking about!). So, I decided to take the general recipe from the Chex Mix website and formulate it to be made in the crock pot!
My daughter and I have a baking day so this is great because my chex mix recipe can be cooking while we bake our other treats. Great for a multi-tasking day of fun.
I hope you will remember this recipe next time you are in a crunch (get it?!?! haha!) and need something yummy and easy to take to a party! This Chex Mix is full of flavor and crunch and is great for any occasion!
You could even cook this and pack them in mason jars with a cute bow and give as gifts.
If you don’t want to use cheese crackers you could even substitute goldfish for the kiddos. Honestly this Chex Mix recipe is so versatile. You could add any of your favorite snacks to make this recipe your own. If you are on the hunt for more delicious crock pot recipes then click HERE to see what else we’ve got for you!

Very interesting. I never would have thought about doing this.
Making Chex Mix in the microwave is even faster. (I don’t put candy in mine). Cook at high power, stirring after 2 minutes, twice and again at the end. Total cook time 6 minutes. Cool on paper towels.
I make 20 or more single batches every holiday season, so the time involved is important to me. My family says it doesn’t taste any different than when I use to spend hours baking in the oven
Great idea! Thanks for sharing Selene!
