Make these Chicken Tenders in the Air Fryer for a lightened up main dish idea!
Keto Air Fryer Everything Chicken Strips
If you haven’t yet heard of “Everything” Spice– found most often on the Everything Bagel, I am here to tell you it’s packed with flavor!
I have always loved the Everything Bagel, and when the spices came out at Trader Joes and several other retailers, I had to try it out. I’m really not sure what makes Everything Spice so good, but it’s something about the mixture of the onion and sesame seeds. It’s a great balance of savory spices that you need to try out if you haven’t yet!
This recipe takes those flavors from the bread aisle and adds them to skinless, boneless chicken breast! So you can have all your favorite Everything Bagel flavors without the carbs.
Start with Chicken Breast Cutlets
Since this is an Air Fryer Recipe, I recommend starting with chicken breast tenders or small cutlets. You can trim a full chicken breast down with a sharp knife or pair of kitchen shears to this size if needed.
With air frying, you want a lot of surface area on the meat. So a full chicken breast won’t turn out great as it may be dried out on the edges by the time the meat is done internally.
Season Well!
Start with a good quality Everything Spice. You can get this at Trader Joes, and of course if you don’t have a location nearby you can also find it on Amazon.
If shopping Aldi is more your style, I’ve also seen Everything Spice on their line of brands, and have heard great reviews from family who’ve tried it! I would definitely snag a bottle of Aldi Everything Spice if you shop there often. And side note– their spices are priced much better than most stores. 🙂
Lay your chicken tenders out on a baking sheet or cutting board and spray with olive oil. Sprinkle Everything Bagel Spice over chicken, coating both sides.
Air Fryer Chicken Tenders:
To air fry, follow your manufacturer’s directions for heating and adding oil to your fryer. They all differ, so if you just bought an air fryer or recieved one as a gift, be sure to look over the general instructions.
Add your chicken directly to the basket and cook! I just love how easy my air fryer is!! At this point I usually turn my attention to my side dishes. I always stop my air fryer half way through and turn each chicken tender with a pair of tongs.
Note about Pressure Cooker/Air Fryer Combo Appliances
If you have a pressure cooker/air fryer combo, this recipe should work just as well on the air fryer setting. My only tip is to use the lowest trivet rack, since the chicken close to the top of the appliance (where the heat source is) will cook very fast. Be sure to check after 7-8 minutes and turn food over! I usually try to avoid air frying meats on the top rack of my Ninja Foodi!
The finished product! Your coating should be golden brown, and chicken cooked throughout. Slice the largest chicken tender in half to check for done-ness. These slices are not really big enough for an accurate reading on a meat thermometer, but as with all poultry the internal temp should be 165– just adding that for clarity. If they look not quite done, pop them back into the air fryer and continue cooking in 4-5 minute increments until no longer pink.
Serve with a salad or your favorite Keto side for a healthy and easy weeknight meal! Enjoy!

Keto Homemade Chocolate Syrup
I love this Homemade Chocolate Syrup made with Swerve. This is going to be one of my guilty pleasures. It’s so easy that it only took me 15 minutes to make, start to finish.
Let’s face it, I LOVE FOOD, maybe a little too much. I found that I got very bored with the food we were eating on Keto but we LOVED the way we felt.
I also found myself really stressing over being really strict. The one thing I want to stress is….. It’s OK to treat yourself every great once in awhile. The key is to not over indulge. They say the number one reason people fail on diets is because they deprive themselves. People are so strict that when they finally do decide to treat themselves they over indulge.
