I know that Fall will be here soon (yay!!) and that means we will be using our crock pots more often (yay!!) but I love when I find a crock pot recipe that can be made any time of the year! This Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken is so incredibly easy and so incredibly yummy! And it’s a recipe that you for sure need to add to your crock pot rotation. All you have to do is throw it all in the crock pot and forget about it. That’s my favorite kind of recipe! And you don’t have to thaw the chicken either. Throw it in there frozen and you have an even quicker recipe!
I used organic chicken broth and ranch dip and homemade taco seasoning but it’s certainly not required. This recipe would be delicious with whatever ingredients you prefer to use. If you are looking for a good homemade taco seasoning recipe, click HERE to get the one I posted awhile back.
There are so many ways this chicken can be served. After it’s been cooked, you could shred it and serve with tacos, on top of nachos, or tostadas. Or if you are trying to eat lighter you could serve on top of salad. You could also leave as-is and add brown rice and a veggie for a healthy, nutritious meal the whole family will love.
One of my favorite things to do is double or triple the recipe, shred it and throw some in the freezer! That way I always have some on hand and ready to go for those days that are just crazy and I forget about what’s for dinner. Yes! That has happened! haha!
