Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken
This Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken only requires 4 ingredients and is so easy to make.
Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken
This Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken is so incredibly easy and yummy! It's a recipe that you need to add to your Crock Pot recipe collection.
All you have to do is throw these ingredients into the Crock Pot and forget about it. This is my favorite kind of recipe! There is no need to thaw chicken for this recipe. Throw it in there frozen and you have an even quicker recipe!
I also have this recipe filed under freezer meals since it's ideal to prep for the freezer. If you have a 2 gallon freezer bag and a Crock Pot, you are all set to prep this meal ahead. Just add all ingredients together and seal well in a freezer bag.
I do try to mix up the ingredients slightly, and arrange the chicken so they are spaced evenly along the bottom of the bag. That way there isn't a large “clump” of frozen chicken later on. At that point, just put in the freezer and label with what it is. Yes, always label! Every time I tell myself I will remember exactly what's in the bag, I end up forgetting!
Freezer meals are great to send to a loved one who had surgery, any elderly family member or neighbor who is off their feet and not able to cook currently, or for a new mom and dad. I remember those sleepless nights and feeling like I couldn't get anything done the next morning. Popping dinner into the Crock Pot right from the freezer– that's a win! I love being able to help out friends and family with a good freezer meal.
This one is also a mroe frugal one, so if you worry about fitting extra prepped meals into a small food budget, this one won't add a lot to the grocery bill!
How to Make Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken
I used organic chicken broth and ranch dip and homemade taco seasoning but it's certainly not required. This recipe would be delicious with whatever ingredients you prefer to use.
You can also make your own homemade taco seasoning. Click HERE to get the one I posted awhile back.
There are so many ways this chicken can be served. After it's been cooked, you could shred it and serve with tacos, on top of nachos, or tostadas. Or if you are trying to eat lighter you could serve on top of salad. You could also leave as-is and add brown rice and a veggie for a healthy, nutritious meal the whole family will love.
One of my favorite things to do is double or triple the recipe, shred it and throw some in the freezer! That way I always have some on hand and ready to go for those days that are just crazy and I forget about what's for dinner. Yes! That has happened! haha!

I would like to cook 4 chicken breasts (bone & skin) in my crock pot. They will be double-layered (2 on bottom & 2 on top) since it’s a small diameter crock pot. Will this affect the cooking time?
Yes, it possibly could as each crock-pot is different when it’ a different size. You will need to make sure that you keep turning the chicken stacked to make sure it gets done.
