Basic Homemade Bread Mix for Breadmakers
There are few things in this world that are better then warm, fresh homemade bread! I just absolutely love homemade bread but I don't have time to mix, let rise, wait, knead, knead again, wait and then bake and not burn the bread! That's why bread machines are so great!
There are a few benefits of bread makers that I'm going to share. First and my favorite is there is less mess and fuss! I enjoy making homemade treats for my family but I don't like cleaning…ok I hate cleaning! Anything that makes less mess is great it my book!
Kneading…who needs to knead when you have a bread machine! Not me! It's is amazing that this little machine can save your time and arm ache!
One last reason to try out this Basic Homemade Break Mix in your bread machine….it has a timer! That means you can add the ingredients go to bed and wake up to warm bread! Seriously, how great is that!

Basic Homemade Break Mix for Breadmakers
This basic mix can be changed up with additional spices or ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast or 1 pkg bread machine yeast
- 3 3/4 cups of flour
- 3 tbs sugar
- 1/3 cup lukewarm milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients into your machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. ( for mine it's the liquid ingredients first.
- Then follow the instructions on your machine for size and how dark you want your bread.
- This recipe is for a 1 1/2 - 2lb loaf machine
