Making Delicious Nutella Brownies in Two Easy Steps!
If you're looking for a delicious dessert that won't take hours to make, you've come to the right place. Nutella brownies are an easy and foolproof way to enjoy a sweet treat that's sure to please both kids and adults alike. All you need is two ingredients—Nutella and eggs—and you have yourself a tasty dessert that can be made in no time at all! Let’s dive into how these simple brownies are made, and why they sometimes come out crinkly.
Take a look at these decadent Nutella Brownies…. which don't look like they take only two ingredients and about 5 minutes to whip up! How many times have we been hit with a sudden chocolate craving only to realize there are no brownie mixes in the pantry? And of course one of the ingredients for brownies from scratch is always missing from my pantry! 🙂 However, this quick recipe is the perfect solution for a quick chocolate treat!
I put this recipe together in around 10 minutes. It does require a mixer to beat the eggs well enough to be light and fluffy. I didn't realize this at first. You want the eggs fluffy so they incorporate well into the Nutella. The other key to this recipe coming out beautifully is to be sure and let the Nutella cool down after softening in the microwave. This is to keep the eggs from basically scrambling, which they will do if they were mixed with hot Nutella! My new can of Nutella was fairly softened already from being in the warm kitchen so it didn't even need to go into the microwave. If you are getting it out of the refrigerator or if it's fairly solid, follow recipe exactly and be sure to soften in the microwave to ensure it is able to mix well with the eggs.
That is all there is to it! If you want to make half a recipe, the batter will fit perfectly in a ramekin dish for a single size treat! Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a molten sundae or enjoy with a cup of coffee on one of our cool fall afternoons coming up. Don't forget this recipe is gluten free, if you are looking to add to your GF recipe list! You can also try the perfect brownie pan. You'll get perfectly cut brownies everytime.
Why are my Nutella Brownies crinkly?
While it’s normal for most home-baked goods to be slightly crinkled on top due to various factors like heat distribution or changes in temperature during cooking, this is especially true of Nutella brownies because of their unique recipe. Since there is only 1 cup of Nutella used in each batch of brownies, the batter will not rise evenly like traditional batters do with baking powder or baking soda. As a result, the edges tend to cook faster than the middle section creating crinkles on top when done baking. Don’t worry though; these crinkles don’t affect taste or texture in any way so your brownies will still taste delicious!
How To Store My Nutella Brownies?
These delicious treats are best served warm and gooey straight out of the oven but can also be stored afterwards either at room temperature or freezer-safe containers (for up to three months). Make sure that your container has an airtight seal so that moisture won’t escape from your brownie while it’s being stored away. When ready to serve again simply microwave for 20 seconds and enjoy!
Enjoy!
