Fall weather is in the air and apple season is among us! Reach up high and pick the juiciest apple for this coffee cake! It's perfect for breakfast, brunch…or a warm snack to heat you up on a chilly night! Pair with a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy! This cinnamon apple and walnut coffee cake will be the hit of the party!

Cinnamon, Apple and Walnut Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 T baking powder
- Dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 cup cut into small pieces
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 T flour
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 T melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
- In a medium bowl mix together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In separate bowl mix together the oil, egg, milk and vanilla. Slowly the wet ingredients in with the dry ingredients. Stir until combined. Stir in the apples. Pour into a prepared bunt pan.
- In a medium bowl mix together the ingredients for the topping, the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, butter and walnuts. Mix until combined.
- Spoon the topping over the top of the cake batter.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
