Yields: 60 Pretzel Bites
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Rest Time: 2 Hours

Ingredients for Eyeball Pretzel Bites
- 60 pretzel snaps
- 60 chocolate Hugs (unwrapped)
- 60 colorful candy eyes
Items You’ll Need
- 9×13 baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Baking tweezers (optional but helpful for precision)

How to Make Eyeball Pretzel Bites
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Assemble the Base
Line up all 60 pretzel snaps on the prepared baking sheet. Place one chocolate Hug in the center of each pretzel.
Step 3: Bake
Bake the assembled pretzel bites for 10 minutes, just until the Hugs begin to soften but still hold their shape.
Step 4: Add the Eyes
Remove the tray from the oven carefully. Immediately press one candy eye into the center of each softened Hug. Baking tweezers can help with placing them quickly and safely.
Step 5: Cool and Set
Allow the pretzel bites to rest at room temperature for about 2 hours, or until the chocolate has fully hardened.

Helpful Tips for Perfect Eyeball Pretzel Bites
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to four days. Avoid freezing.
- The Hugs will form a little “lip” around the candy eye—this helps create the eyelid effect and adds to the spooky fun.
- If you don’t have a 9×13 baking sheet, any baking sheet close in size will work.
- Don’t worry if you can’t find pretzel snaps. Mini twist pretzels work just fine.
- You don’t have to wait the full two hours to enjoy them—just make sure the chocolate is cool enough to eat safely.
