INSTANT POT GARLIC PARMESAN WINGS
I love these Instant Pot Garlic Parmesan Wings. They are not overly spicy, so more kid-friendly than perhaps traditional Buffalo or Hot Wings. They are a must try!
We don't eat chicken wings often but they are ideal for game day, church potlucks, or when you find wings on sale! Chicken wings can be a frugal way to add a tasty main dish or side.
I prefer not to buy the “pre-made” frozen wings at the store. For one, they are full of sodium and preservatives, which we try to stay away from in general. Also, the frozen foods do vary in price but in general are going to cost more than any unseasoned meats. It's really easy to make your own Instant Pot Garlic Parmesan Wings
Garlic Parmesan Wings
These wings actually remind me of Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Wings. If we are over there for dinner I always end up ordering some! The sauce is so addicting, it's hard not to keep eating them even if I'm full!
It's really not that difficult to make these wings at home! You can use your Instant Pot to ensure they are cooked through, and then pop them in the oven to give them that flavorful coating we are accustomed to with restaurant wings!
What I love about this recipe is that you're not worried about whether the chicken is cooked through. The seasoned chicken cooks right in the Instant Pot.
Baking the Parmesan Garlic Wings
As most of you have probably noticed with the Instant Pot, it is a perfect appliance to cook meat thoroughly without worrying about the time or temp, but it doesn't exactly do the job of giving foods a finished, crispy edge.
You will cook these wings twice, once in the Instant Pot and once on a Sheet Pan, but it's well worth it to get that delicious crispy chicken wing crust we are all accustomed to.
Follow the second half of the instructions in the recipe below to season your cooked chicken wings with these amazing seasonings:
- Parmesan
- Minced garlic
- Everything Seasoning
- Minced Fresh Parsley
- Parmesan Cheese
Finish Up and Serve!
You can have this meal on the table in a little over an hour. After they are done in the oven, choose a great sauce and serve!
The recipe lends itself to an appetizer for parties, since you can cook these in the afternoon and then just keep warm until you serve them. I like to serve with a veggie tray, ranch dip, and of course some other foods.
For a meal, you can pair this with just about anything. If you're staying low carb, just add the veggies! For family dinner night, add a rice or pasta dish, or even pair these wings with some cornbread muffins. Yum! I have been on a kick lately of making a simple protein and then sides.
Hope you enjoyed this recipe. It's one of our classic recipes that makes the round on the menu every now and then. You can adapt this recipe to chicken tenders, of course, but remember cooking times and the final result may vary. Enjoy!

Instant Pot Garlic Parmesan Wings
Ingredients
- HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:
- FOR THE INSTANT POT -
- 4 pounds of chicken wings - not frozen
- 1 Tablespoon of garlic salt
- 1 Tablespoon of seasoned salt
- 1 Tablespoon of seasoned pepper
- 1 cup of water
- FOR THE OVEN -
- Cooked wings from the Instant Pot
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 Tablespoons of Olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons of minced garlic
- 3 Tablespoons of 'Everything Seasoning'
- 2 Tablespoons of minced parsley
- 1/2 cup of Parmesan Cheese - shredded
Instructions
HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:
Place the 1 cup of water in the Instant Pot. Place the Chicken Wings in the Instant pot.
Sprinkle with the garlic salt, seasoned salt, and seasoned pepper.
Place the lid on the Instant pot, and press the Manual button, and set the time to 10 minutes.
Make sure the pressure valve is set to SEALING, and press the Manual button again to start the Instant Pot. When the Instant Pot is done cooking, it will beep and go to OFF. Do a quick release, by turning the pressure valve from sealing to VENTING, and release the pressure. When the float valve drops down, remove the lid.
Line a baking sheet with Parchment paper, and place the cooked chicken wings on the Parchment paper. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Melt butter and brush the butter mixture on the chicken wings.
Sprinkle the Chicken wings with Everything Seasoning, minced parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
Bake until the wings are golden brown on both sides. (Make sure you brush the butter mixture on both sides of the wings, and sprinkle with the seasonings) When the wings are golden brown (about 35 -45 minutes) remove from oven and serve immediately.
Notes
NOTE: If you're not familiar with doing a 'quick release' of the pressure for the Instant Pot, please refer to your owners manual to become familiar with the pressure valve, float valve, and how your Instant Pot model works. ALSO: Recipe can be doubled if you are serving a large crowd. The Instant Pot cuts the time for preparing/cooking the wings in half.
Instant Pot "Trivet" metal rack is not required for this recipe.
